The Liberty Group is excited to announce our new President and CEO, Matthew Smith. With over 20 years of staffing management experience including management of recruitment, Human Resources, sales, contract negotiation, operations, facilitation and training, as well as knowledge of employment laws as well as Human Resource processes, Matt is an invaluable member of The Liberty Group.
Matthew joined The Liberty Group in 2009 as the COO-Executive Vice President managing daily operations and sales on a national level. He over saw staffing, plans and directed activities of staff in carrying out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, administering tests, checking references and background, and evaluating applicant qualifications. He monitored activity and developed sales agendas for representatives in all markets. Working directly with Ken Bohan, Matt assisted in creating new policy and procedure guides for the company and evaluated and recommended new Applicant Tracking Systems and developed a training program for the system. Under Matt’s leadership, the temporary services side of The Liberty Group has flourished. He was natural choice to be named as our new President & CEO.
Matthew has consistently contributed to the success of The Liberty Group through committed involvement on various committees and events. He brings integrity, knowledge and a sincere desire to add value to all of his endeavors. He is a strong leader with a diverse skill set that brings people together to work toward a common goal. His strong background in the apartment industry and confidence in his skill set will be a sustained asset to the growth of The Liberty Group.
