Description:

Apartment Maintenance Technicians are required to perform several duties related to the maintenance tasks for apartments. They are responsible for emergency/unscheduled repairs to apartment homes and community property during business and off-hours and perform routine/scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.

The Liberty Group is currently seeking Apartment Maintenance Technicians to join our team!

You will be responsible for completing work orders (run service calls on apartment property) and other required property-related tasks. Salary will vary depending on experience and candidate’s resources.

Some Maintenance Technician tasks include diagnosing and solving different residential-related problems in an apartment community, such as repairing air conditioning systems, fixing electrical switches, unclogging drains, repairing appliances, replacing machine parts, etc.

These workers also perform regular preventative property-related maintenance tasks to make sure that buildings do not deteriorate and all is functioning smoothly.

Some Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
2 years previous experience in apartment maintenance.
Experience with HVAC, Boilers and/or servicing Chiller systems helpful.
CPO is helpful, but not required. (Swimming pool chemicals)
Light plumbing and light electrical experience. (e.g. setting toilets, replace ceiling fan…)
Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
Must have own tools, including a power drill. Own a/c gauges (if EPA certified) are also a HUGE plus!
Ability to handle physical workload.
Deadline and detail-oriented.
Have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have own tools
Some Maintenance Technician Responsibilities: Complete residential work and repair orders in a timely fashion.
Estimate time and extent of repairs.
Handle air conditioner/furnace and some appliance trouble-shooting/repairs
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Maintain material and supply inventory.
Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
Ability to work on-call/after hours, as needed and usually on a rotation-schedule.
